Contest
In the 1960s Mineral Point held pasty contests to select a Pasty Queen for a given year. Linda Adams reigned as Pasty Queen in the late 1960s, for example. At the Walker House, we want to revive the Pasty Contest to bring attention to this important regional food and to put a spotlight on all the exceptional pasty makers in the area.
Contest Rules
Make your own pasty at home, freeze it, and then deliver the pasty and recipe to Dan at The Walker House. He will code the pasty and place it in the contest freezer until judging time. Church and other groups may submit a pasty as a group. Only one pasty submission per person or group, please. No one associated with the Walker House may participate in the contest.
